Overdrive will now start accepting requests for replacment parts for the Yamato Macross Toy series.
If you have any broken parts that need replacement please first contact us by E-mail and we will do what we can for you.
Do not in any case send broken items or parts to us without contacting us first. We will not return any items sent to us without our consent.
Please note this service is for customers in need of replacement parts and is not meant for people who want spare parts.
We are sorry but we wil not accept nor reply to any requests for multiple parts.
Payment Details
As this is part of the Yamato Customer Service available in Japan no fees will be asked for any part. The only fees needed will be a $3 handling charge per part and shipping fees. All payments will be asked for after the replacement parts arrive at our office and must be sent by Paypal.
Please note in rare cases certain parts may require a payment.
Shipping methods will be as following.
Items will be sent by either SAL and EMS. If both services are not available we will send by airmail.
nless the sent part is large will be sent in a box that weights 300g. Each part will count as 100g.

SAL: Short for the postal service "Surface Air Lift" small packet delivery system.
This is a service where international mail is handled as surface mail in both Japan and the destination country and as airmail between the two countries.
The service is faster than surface mail while the cost is lower than airmail.
Should be delivered within 3 weeks but may take longer depending on the destination.
Also note SAL shipping is not trackable and no insurance can be placed on it.

EMS: Short for Express Mail Service it is given top priority among international mails. This is the fastest available delivery service.
"Currently used by our webshop all items sent with EMS should arrive within 3 to 4 days of shipping but in rare cases may take up to 7
days."
EMS is traceable and insured.

For those courtries that doesn't offer SAL or EMS service all shipments will be sent by airmail.
As we have just started this service we do not know how long it will take before the replacement item is shipped to us.
Each request will be handled case by case by Yamato so please be patient as it may take time to process them.
The following is a example on how the replacement parts process will proceed.
1) Costumer contacts us with the following information.
A: Exact Product Name. Please include scale size and type. (Example: 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie (Roy Focker Version))
B: Number or Exact Name of Part that needs replacment. (Information should be available on the instructions included in the box)

We have told that most of the old toys have some variation of this parts list in there instructions.
For those toys that do not have a parts list try to explain to the best of your ability which part need replacement.
If possible please try not to say things such as "Whole arm needs replacment".
C: What is wrong with part that needs replacement.(Example: Gun Barrel on the head of 1/60 VF-1S broke)
2) All information will be sent to Yamato where the request will be checked.
Please note as Yamato may not have the replacement part you requested not all requests can be
fulfiled. Furthermore Yamato has the right to turn down any request.
3) Yamato will then contact us and send us the replacement parts that have been approved.
The payment will be asked for at this point.
As we do not wish to dig through our e-mail for each shipping address we willl also require you to make a account at our website to confirm your shipping address As soon as the payment has been confirmed item will be shipped.
As we have just started this service there will be unforeseen problems that may take time to solve.
We will try to improve how the whole process is done but it may take time.
