Revotech Expo 2008 Report(1): October 30, 2008
Filed under (Info) by admin @ 05:51 pm

The annual Revoltech Expo was held this year on October 25 at the Tokyo Anime Center.  The main attraction this year was unveiling of their newest brand “Assemble Borg” which is designed to be a mecha figure series that will come with many extra parts and be easy to costumize.  There were a few more surprise anouncments that we will show later in this post.

It has also been annouced that to prepare for the release of the Third Generation Revoltechs that are scheduled to be released starting on May 1 2009 both the Yamaguchi Revotechs and Fraulein Revoltech would be taking a hiatus after their November releases.   The Yamaguchi Revoltech will be shut down until the May re-start while the Fraulein Revoltechs will be off three months before re-starting with the new Haruhi character line.  The recently started Hokuto no Ken Revolution and Street Fighter Online series will continue for the forseeable future to be released every month.

Lets start with the pictures with the newly announced “Assemble Borg” series.  The concept of the series will be according to their official website ( http://assembleborg.com/) “Infinite Number of changeable parts combined with the ultimate action figure”.  To be sold only domestically at this point and only through their website the first two from the series will be released on December 15 followed by two more on January 15.  One of the things that stand out about the series is that the parts of vehicles that will be released with the action figures will be able to attach to the action figures making it easy to build your own type of powered armor.

As you can see here the posibilities are limitless it up to you to find the combination that fits you.

Next will be the Street Fighter Online Revoltech series that is being pushed by Kaiyodo. It was designed to replicate exactly how the characters actually move in the mouse controlled game. Not only does it feature many on the icons of the original it also introduces many new characters that can be seen here.  The “Russian Red Cyclone” Zangief and the Chinese Martial Artist Baichoufu will be the next from this series to be released.
