C3 X Hobby Report Part 1: September 2, 2008
Filed under (Info) by admin @ 07:30 pm

This years C3 X Hobby was held at Nakuhari Messa over the weekend.  Compared to the hard core adult based Wonderfest it’s much more kid based and there are a lot more women and families there.  Probably the major difference is that Bandai has a large booth there that caters more to kids and women.

Lets take a look at few of the big booths and what they had on display.  Alter and Megahouse booth are first up.

For the mecha section of the show we have the Yamato, CM’s,the mecha part of the Bandai booth as well as a few Transformers.  The much sought after VF-1A Max Version with TV color pattern was on display at the Yamato booth for I believe the first time. A full kit of the soon to be released Bandai VF-25 Messia model kit was also on display.

Bandai Macross Frontier Items.  Also note on the board in the background of the last two pictures it claims Bandai will be bringing back many of the old Macross  mecha’s in 1/100 scale back in 2009 as part of a line of toys called VF100’s.  The fact that the Tamashi Nation logo can be seen in the top right corner means it’s probably not a model kit.   Mechas mentioned are VF-0, VF-1, VF-4, VF-19, VF-21, VF-25 and VF-27.
